Exam season is just around the corner.

I bet that you’re still procrastinating.

You lack of motivation.

“I need some motivation to study!” you tell yourself, again and again.

Then, you click on your web browser and search for motivational quotes for students.

Tons of them appear (and I mean tons!).

Again, you procrastinate to read through them (I mean common, there are literally thousand!?).

But…What if there are only ten motivational quotes?

Yes, we have compiled some of our favorite quotes!

Here are the 10 motivational quotes that will definitely inspire you:

There is no elevator to success. Take the stairs.

1. There is no elevator to success. Take the stairs.

This quote depicts the fact that there is no shortcut to succeed in life, you have to work hard. If you want to get good grades in your exam, you shouldn’t study at the eleventh hour, unless you are really smart.

Do it now. Sometimes Later Becomes Never

2. Do it now. Sometimes ‘Later’ becomes ‘Never’.

This is one of the short motivational quotes that I liked. Unfortunately, I can’t find who the author of the quotes is. This quote is useful for people who tend to procrastinate. Tell yourself “DO IT NOW”, else sometimes “LATER” will inevitably become “NEVER”. The consonance technique used makes this quote more interesting and easy to remember.

Your Future is Created by What You Do Today, not Tomorrow.

3. Your future is created by what you do today, not tomorrow.

What you do today defines your future. This is the message of the quote by the author of the reknown ‘Rich Dad’ series. This quote definitely inspires students to get started. No matter what you dreamed to be, this quote is always applicable. It convinces you to start doing it now, instead of procrastinating.

Dream dont work unless you do

4. Dream don’t works unless you do.

This quote is similar to the quote above, but it is shorter and simpler. Unless you take action, your dreams won’t come true. It’s simple logic, but it’s often the simple things that we forget. Without breathing, you can’t get oxygen. Without eating, you won’t obtain the nutrition needed by your body. This is a simple and short inspiring quote for students.

It doesn’t matter how slow you go as long as you do not stop

5. It doesn’t matter how slow you go as long as you do not stop.

This quote by Confucius is one of the most encouraging quotes for students. Maybe you’re not good at something and you want to be better at it. This positive quote will surely motivate you to get started in your path of improvement and be more confidence. It tells you that as long as you don’t give up, you will achieve what you dream for. It doesn’t matter how slow your progress is, your perseverance will paid off one day (kinda like the story of the hare and the turtle eh?). Confucius has said and wrote many positive quotes, look it up if you are interested.

You don’t have to be great to start. You have to start to be great

6. You don’t have to be great to start. You have to start to be great.

Another Zig Ziglar quote, this quote can be considered the motivational quote of the day. You don’t have to be an expert to do something. You don’t have to be a professional NBA player to play basketball right? What makes you an expert? Practice more. No one was born an expert. That’s how those experts are experts, practice. So, if you want to be good at something, start practicing, else you won’t have a single chance to be good at that particular area. Remember, you reap what you sow!

Success is The Sum of Small Efforts - Repeated Day in and Day out.

7. Success is the sum of small efforts. Repeated day-in and day-out.

By accumulating bit by bit of effort, one day you will succeed. That’s what the front part of this quote by Robert Collier tells us. There is no success story that happened overnight. Every successful person puts a lot of effort into their life’s work before they succeed. The last part of the quote “repeated day in and day out”, reminds you to do it every day, transform it into a habit, repeat and repeat.

Don’t compare yourself with anyone in this world. If you do so you are insulting yourself
8. Don’t compare yourself with anyone in this world. If you do so, you are insulting yourself.

This quote seems interesting right? The quote is really motivating. It’s really suitable for people who lack of confidence. Don’t compare yourself with other people. Does it matters if the others are better than you? Everyone is special in their own way. Everyone is different, special and unique. Albert Einstein once said that “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid”, believe in yourself!

Do Not Give Up, The Beginning is always The Hardest

9. Never give up. The beginning is always the hardest.

This short motivational quote is really common yet inspirational. It reminds you that do not give up easily as the beginning of everything is always the hardest. When you are just a toddler, I guess walking will be really hard for you. Why? Because it is the very first time you try that, that’s why it’s hard. Now, walking seems something really easy for you, because you never give up when you learn to walk as a toddler. This is the simplest example I can provide to explain the quote. Remember, never give up! Inertia is a powerful thing.

Motivation is what gets you started

10. Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going.

This is absolutely one of the best motivational quotes. Motivation is only effective at the beginning, to get started. To achieve your dreams, you need to turn it into habit. Just like, having a habit to read at least one hour per day or having the habit to workout at least 3 times per week. When you make activities into a habit, you will do it automatically, because you have used to it. When you have formed a habit, you don’t need motivation to get started. As I have said before, the power of inertia is unlimited!

Reading these quotes might have inspired you. But without taking any further action, it is still useless. Do it now. Start taking action now. Want good grades? Make it happen. Go to study right now. Study smart and make sure you don’t overwhelm yourself with books. Make sure to take a short break when it is necessary, avoids burnout.
